"International Collaboration for Global Progress: Towards a Sustainable and Connected Future"

Welcome to the 12th IEEC 2026

The 12th IEEC – International Electrical Engineering Conference 2026 marks the twelfth edition of a well-established and respected academic forum dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and professional engagement in the broad field of electrical and electronic engineering. Over the years, IEEC has evolved into a significant platform for disseminating high-quality research, fostering dialogue between academia and industry, and promoting technological solutions that address contemporary engineering challenges.

The 2026 edition carries the theme “International Collaboration for Global Progress: Towards a Sustainable and Connected Future.” This theme reflects the growing need for global partnerships in engineering research and innovation. As technological systems become increasingly interconnected and sustainability becomes central to development agendas worldwide, collaboration across institutions, industries, and countries is no longer optional—it is essential. IEEC 2026 aims to create a vibrant intellectual environment where researchers, engineers, policymakers, and students can exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and develop meaningful collaborations that contribute to a smarter, greener, and more resilient world.

A defining milestone of this edition is that it represents the first international collaboration in the history of IEEC. The conference is being jointly organized with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka. This partnership signifies a strategic step toward expanding the global footprint of IEEC and strengthening academic ties across borders. By bringing together expertise from multiple regions, the conference reinforces its commitment to international research collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The conference will be held on 17–18 October 2026 in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend physically at the University of Peradeniya or join virtually from anywhere in the world. This inclusive format ensures broader accessibility and enhanced global participation.

Keynote Speakers

Title: Intelligent Robotics for Sustainable Marine and Industrial Applications

Title: Bio-inspired algorithm for dynamic navigation in cluttered and confined space

Title: Powering the digital future: Grid challenges and protection consideration for data centers and emerging high density loads.
